Job description
As an ERP Solution Architect, you will play a key role in shaping the end-to-end ERP architecture, working closely with business stakeholders, delivery teams, and system integrators to design and implement a robust, future-proof solution. While Microsoft Dynamics 365 is the preferred platform, experience across other leading ERP technologies is welcomed. What You'll Be Doing
- Join a high performing architecture team to help shape and deliver end-to-end ERP solution architecture across core enterprise domains (e.g. Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, HR).
- Play a key role in architectural design for a large, complex ERP transformation, ensuring alignment with business strategy, operating models, and enterprise architecture standards.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and supportable ERP solutions.
- Provide architectural leadership across implementation phases, including design, build, integration, testing, and deployment.
- Design and govern integration patterns between the ERP and surrounding systems (e.g. CRM, data platforms, legacy applications, third-party services).
- Set and enforce architectural standards, principles, and guardrails to ensure quality and consistency.
- Partner with system integrators and vendors, reviewing designs and challenging approaches where necessary.
- Identify and manage architectural risks, technical debt, and key design trade-offs.
- Support data migration, reporting, and analytics strategies in the context of the ERP platform.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, leading design forums and driving architectural decision-making.
Requirements
- Strong experience as an ERP Solution Architect on large-scale, enterprise ERP transformation programmes.
- Hands-on architectural experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 / D365 is preferred but not essential, however strong experience with other ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, or NetSuite is also welcomed.
- Deep understanding of ERP architecture across finance and operational domains.
- Proven experience designing integrations using modern patterns (APIs, middleware, event-driven architectures).
- Strong grasp of data, security, and compliance considerations within enterprise ERP environments.
- Comfortable working in complex, multi-vendor delivery environments.
- Able to balance strategic architecture with pragmatic delivery needs.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and align senior technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience working within structured governance, design assurance, and change control processes.
Nice to Have
- Experience working on UK enterprise transformation programmes.
- Background in cloud-based ERP implementations.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and operating models
