Job description
Our Solutions Engineer serves as the technical expert and trusted advisor throughout the sales cycle, helping prospective customers understand how a company's product, PRTG, can solve their business challenges. They work closely with sales teams to identify customer needs, deliver customized product demonstrations, and architect solutions that align with technical and business requirements. Our Solutions Engineers translate complex technical concepts into clear value propositions, collaborate with product and engineering teams to provide customer feedback, and ensure smooth handoffs from sales to implementation., * Discovery & Pain Identification: Engage with prospects to understand their technical challenges, architecture, and operational priorities. Translate these into clear, addressable pain points aligned with PRTG's capabilities.
- Value-Driven Demonstrations: Design and deliver compelling, tailored demos that show how PRTG can solve customer problems. Confidently adapt technical narratives to multiple personas - IT operations, network teams, DevOps, and executive stakeholders.
- Technical Storytelling: Communicate complex technical concepts through simple, persuasive stories that highlight business impact and drive product adoption.
- Solution Design: Build monitoring architectures using PRTG that meet customer requirements, including infrastructure, and scalability considerations.
- Engage and excite audiences during webinars
- Represent Paessler at exhibitions, conferences, and partner events.
- Technical Win Documentation: Capture and document proof-of-concept (POC) outcomes, success criteria, and technical wins in a clear, structured manner to support account executives through the sales process
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Product, and Support to ensure a seamless customer experience and provide feedback that shapes our roadmap.
Requirements
If you are motivated by providing deep product knowledge, have strong communication skills, and thrive in consultative environments with a goal of guiding customers toward successful adoption of our product, this role may be a great match for you., * Strong understanding of the relationship between technical and sales processes, with at least 2 years of experience as a Presales Consultant in an IT company.
- Professional-level knowledge of IP-based networks and solid familiarity with switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Experience configuring and operating server systems and virtualization platforms, including technologies such as VMware, Cisco IOS, NetApp, and Windows.
- Fluent in English; Spanish and Portuguese is a plus but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience with IoT and Industrial IT is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Willingness to travel up to 40% annually. Comprehensive onboarding and training will be provided.
