One of our squads is seeking an experienced, self-motivated, and quick-learning test professional with strong technical testing skills. As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for technical testing, validation, and modification of applications within the Transaction Reporting area.
Your primary focus will be on advancing test automation and contributing to the overall DevOps delivery improvement within the squad. You will proactively identify opportunities to enhance the delivery pipeline and collaborate with the team to implement appropriate solutions. Your ability to translate ideas into (automated) testing solutions, while ensuring maintainability, efficiency, traceability, and autonomy, is essential.
You should also be capable of taking on basic tasks from other DevOps team members when needed, such as performing analysis, developing test automation scripts, or supporting analysis activities. A strong desire for personal development in new areas is vital for success as an all-round DevOps engineer in this squad. Flexibility and a sense of ownership are crucial mindsets for this role.
Working alongside 5 other DevOps squads, you will help improve and maintain systems for Regulatory Reporting and Client Registration & Onboarding, all within the Trade and Transaction Reporting domain, which is essential for Rabobank's compliance with global regulations.
The Transaction Reporting area consists of 10 squads, integrating IT experts and experienced professionals from various business areas, forming a team of around 100 members. All squads operate under an Agile mindset, guided by focused themes and goals. Within this area, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring software quality assurance, enhancing our testing framework, and supporting our software delivery processes., Working conditions: This job role offers a balanced split between operational (run) and project (build) work, with a distribution of 75% operational and 25% project-related tasks. To minimize the impact on business operations, some changes may be scheduled outside of regular business hours. The location for this job vacancy is in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

Requirements
Over 6 years of in-depth testing experience, including manual functional testing and test automation, with a focus on technical testing.

Proficiency in Agile Testing Methodology, TMAP Next, and/or ISTQB certification.

Strong experience in automated testing tools such as Cucumber, SpecFlow, or Selenium.

Familiarity with technologies like Azure DevOps, Microsoft SQL, and XML.

Ability to write and understand basic SQL queries.

Experience working within a DevOps/SCRUM team, with knowledge of transaction reporting.

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure environments, including deploying CI/CD pipelines.

Fluent in English; Dutch communication skills are an advantage but not mandatory.

Strong team player with excellent communication skills.

Preferred:

Background in the financial sector and knowledge of financial market products.

Experience in test coordination, test case design, and setting up automation frameworks.

Familiarity with technologies such as C#, MVC, MQ, SpecFlow, and NServiceBus.

Educational background: HBO/WO (Netherlands) or a university degree (UK), preferably in Science or Engineering.
