Job description
This is a hands-on Product Manager contract for someone who thrives in fast-moving, customer-facing product teams.
We are supporting a major consumer brand whose Customer App sits at the heart of the user experience, from managing preferences to customer support and self-service.
There is already a live roadmap for the next few months. What they need now is a strong Product Manager who can step in quickly, take ownership, keep delivery moving and help shape what comes next, not just keep things ticking over.
You will take day-to-day ownership of the mobile product, manage and coach a junior PM, and work closely with engineering, UX and data to deliver meaningful improvements for customers.
If you enjoy owning a product, working directly with users and balancing delivery with discovery, this is a great short-term gig with real impact.
What you will be doing:
You will lead product delivery for a native iOS and Android customer app, including:
- Owning and refining a prioritised product roadmap
- Working closely with engineers and designers to define and deliver features
- Managing the backlog and keeping delivery moving at pace
- Using data and customer insight to shape product decisions
- Running discovery with UX and research to validate ideas
- Partnering with stakeholders across product, operations and customer teams
- Coaching and supporting a direct-report PM day to day
This is very much a hands-on product role, not a strategy-only assignment.

- A customer-first mindset with experience using research and data to guide decisions
- Comfort working with analytics and product metrics (Power BI / SQL a bonus, not essential)

- Experience mentoring or coaching junior product managers
Most importantly, they want someone who is:
- Comfortable taking ownership quickly
- Curious, proactive and commercially aware
