Job description

  • Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support data integration and transformation. - Develop and optimize data architectures, ensuring data quality, integrity, and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with data analysts to understand data needs and provide efficient data solutions.
  • Implement data governance and security measures to protect sensitive information.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Work with large datasets, employing advanced data processing techniques and technologies.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in data engineering and recommend improvements.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years in Data Engineering or related fields.
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, IT, or related field or equivalent proven experience.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and query optimization.
  • Experience with DBT.
  • Experience with Tableau.
  • Solid understanding of Clean Code principles, CI/CD best practices, and software engineering fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with AWS CDK, Infrastructure-as-Code, and system integration methods (APIs, FTP).
  • Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and database design and operations.
  • Tools & Platforms: Hands-on experience with cloud-native development on AWS (Azure or GCP also considered).
  • Services such as AWS Lambda, Redshift, EC2, CloudWatch, and GitHub Actions.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Dagster, Data Vault modeling, real-time data processing, or machine learning frameworks, NoSQL Databases.
  • Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI, or QlikView.
