MES Engineer

Our Manufacturing Systems Support Team is responsible for the operation and continuous improvement of the Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) at our site in Kaiseraugst. To strengthen our organization, we are looking for a MES Recipe Specialist (Squad Lead / Functional Lead) who will support our customers, drive service excellence and help develop our squad.

The Opportunity

In this role, you will combine hands-on MES expertise with functional leadership responsibilities. You will design, build and test MES master recipes, support and improve shopfloor execution processes, and provide reliable operational support to our manufacturing teams.

Your responsibilities include:

• Design, model and test production master recipes in Rockwell PharmaSuite, including master data management in MES.
• Specify, implement and test new MES functions and enhancements in close collaboration with Business, Quality Assurance and IT/OT.
• Contribute to the implementation and validation of systems and IT processes in the manufacturing area (GxP/CSV environment).
• Provide 1st line support for end users including on-call support (24/7) and coordinate effective resolution across relevant support teams.
• Ensure high quality incident/request handling in ServiceNow (data completeness, prioritization, routing, knowledge reuse) and actively support root cause analysis.
• Perform regular ticket and service performance reviews with team leads, identify recurring topics and drive continuous improvement of SLAs, stability and user experience.
• Act as a key contact for critical stakeholders and end users, translating technical complexity into clear, user-centric communication-especially during major incidents.
• Support audits and inspections by ensuring traceable documentation and compliant processes, including the use of ServiceNow for IT deviations and Veeva for defined quality actions.
• Support and/or lead projects and initiatives, and contribute to hiring and onboarding activities within the squad.
• Support interfaces and adjacent IT/OT systems such as SAP, Warehouse Management (EWM) and Quality Systems where required for end-to-end manufacturing processes.

Do you have experience in SAP Warehouse Management?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Degree in Informatics, Engineering, Logistics or a comparable field.

• Several years of hands-on experience in MES recipe design and execution processes using Rockwell PharmaSuite or similar MES System.
• Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and/or IT/OT environments (GxP, CSV); Roche experience is a plus.
• Strong technical understanding, structured working style, and the ability to prioritize and take end-to-end ownership.
• High service orientation with confident stakeholder management and strong communication skills.
• Fluent in German and English.
