Job description

As a Systems Engineer, you will apply harmonized systems engineering and MBSE methodologies across platform, product, or component development projects in the medical technology domain. You will work at the intersection of disciplines, ensuring a shared system understanding and robust development artifacts that meet regulatory and quality requirements.

Your role:

  • Apply systems engineering methodologies in product, platform, and component development projects
  • Create, maintain, and govern cross-disciplinary development artifacts such as requirements, design decisions, use cases, FMEAs, safety risk assessments, and system architectures using SysML-based modeling
  • Drive and moderate the systems engineering workflow across teams, functions, and stakeholders
  • Create and maintain system models, including configuration management, data integrity, and access permissions
  • Provide system model views tailored to different stakeholder needs and roles
  • Support project team members in entering and retrieving data from the system model
  • Take ownership of design documents generated from model data in line with design control processes

Requirements

Do you have experience in Systems engineering?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * A Master's degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Medical Engineering, or Systems Engineering

  • Strong affinity for describing complex systems and system behavior using structured methodologies
  • Solid knowledge of systems engineering, including requirements engineering, system architecture modeling (HW & SW), reliability, and safety engineering
  • Experience with MBSE, including SysML/UML and their application in systems engineering
  • Hands-on experience with modeling tools such as Enterprise Architect or Cameo Systems Modeler
  • Excellent communication skills to align and moderate across cross-functional and international engineering teams
  • Awareness of regulatory requirements in the medical device development environment
  • Solid German and English skills, written and spoken
