Job description
The Data & Tech department of IQVIA France is recruiting a Data Scientist for its Research & Innovation team. The team develops proofs of concept, new products, and improvements to existing solutions to support IQVIA's activities. The team also provides technical expertise, particularly regarding the integration of new AI technologies, and contributes to technical decisions within the local office. The Data Scientist will work under the supervision of the Senior Data Scientist and/or Project Technical Lead, contributing to the team's development and innovation projects. The role involves applying expertise in AI/ML, software development, and data management. The Data Scientist will participate in agile development squads and collaborate with the Product, Panel, and Production teams.
Main Missions:
Data Analysis
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify improvement opportunities and business insights
- Document and communicate efficiently on the analyses results and insights
Model Development and Validation
- Design and implement statistical and machine learning models according to business requirements
- Validate models and oversee their integration into production environments
AI Integration
- Integrate internal and external generative AI models in the team's products
- Develop, evaluate, and optimize prompts for large language models (LLMs)
Innovation and Technical Monitoring
- Monitor developments in AI and associated tools
- Contribute to the development and evaluation of proofs of concept
- Participate in defining the team's technical roadmap
- Contribute to technical communications within the department, including possible training sessions
Software and Product Development
- Assist in the transfer of models to production tools
- Contribute to software and product development activities
Support and Client Interaction
- Provide level 3 technical support for deployed models
- Contribute to client discussions by providing technical input as needed
Requirements
Do you have experience in Software development?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Master's degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience in designing, validating, and integrating statistical and machine learning models
- Experience with prompting LLMs and integrating generative AI solutions
- Proficiency in software development with Python (data/ML libraries), Sql, Git, and Docker (knowledge of Azure Cloud, Kubernetes, PySpark, Databricks, React is a plus)
- Professional knowledge of French & English
- Familiarity with agile software development practices
- Knowledge of the French healthcare sector is a plus
