  • Map current-state architecture and design a pragmatic roadmap for the next 2-3 years
  • Act as internal technical lead in relationships with 3rd-party dev partners
  • Define standards, guardrails, and governance for future builds
  • Eventually help shape and grow a small internal development team

  • Proven work with event-driven architectures and 3rd-party system integrations
  • Able to assess and evolve existing legacy systems, data pipelines, and dev practices
  • Deep understanding of scaling internal platforms for operational teams (not public SaaS)
  • Comfortable operating with a small number of engineers and limited internal structure

  • Experience with data lakes/warehouses as event stores
  • Familiarity with legal tech, workflow automation, or internal business platforms
  • TOGAF or Azure Architect certifications (not essential)

About the company

We are a fast scaling, PE backed legal services firm transforming the home moving experience. With a team of 400+ across the UK and Sri Lanka, we're building the next generation of internal systems that power high volume conveyancing and legal operations, with AI and automation at the heart of our future strategy. Following a recent technology leadership restructure and investor review, we're now hiring a hands on Senior Architect to help define, modernise, and scale our internal systems architecture spanning event driven platforms, data infrastructure, and third party integrations, all within a high impact, pragmatic, delivery first environment. This is not a corporate or ivory tower architecture role. It's ideal for a Principal Engineer or Staff Engineer who has owned the end-to-end architecture in a smaller organisation, enjoys solving gnarly problems in scrappy and scaling environments, and wants to help shape a tech enabled business from the inside out.
