Job description

The ATC System Designer is part of the Project Engineering Team under the coordination of ATC Leader. He /She develops ATC system architecture, trackside and trainborne, defining and allocating requirements, evaluating design trade-offs, balancing technical risk, defining and assessing interfaces, keeping close coordination with verification and validation activities and with project deployment activities, in line with the system roadmap, 1. ATC System includes both trackside and trainborne. ATC System Designer main responsibilities are:

  • Design system and provide related documents (specification, architecture, interface, etc.).
  • Lead ATC Design Reviews
  • Ensure the ATC configuration by application data or coding is performed regarding the process and ready for testing.
  • Investigate the Verification and Validation (V&V) test failures for corrective actions
  1. Performance measurements:
  • Project QCD (Quality,Cost and Delivery) commitment
  • On-time-delivery for ATC deliverables (SyRS - System Requirements Specification, SyAD - System Architecture Description, SyID
  • System Interface Description, SyOCD - System Operational Contexts Description, …) according to project planning and Document Master List (DML) (EDP - Engineering Delivery Performance), approval status
  • Defect detected on ATC (DQI - Delivery Quality Indicator)
  • Cooperation and reactivity to support to Root Cause Analysis Identification of contract variations (through traceability & coverage of requirements)

Requirements

  • Graduated in engineering (electronics, embedded systems or equivalent
  • Experience in complex real time system (signaling, avionics, defense, safety related systems).
  • Knowledge of Automatic Train Control (ATC) systems
  • Familiarity with system architecture and interface design
  • A strong understanding of Verification and Validation (V&V) processes
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Fluent in english
