Job description

As part of high-impact strategic projects, we are looking for a Senior Data Governance & AI Governance Expert to support the design and implementation of robust, compliant, and sustainable data and artificial intelligence governance frameworks.

You will work on critical challenges related to data quality, security, traceability, and regulatory compliance, in close collaboration with technical, business, and security teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Data Quality and Data Health Monitoring processes.
  • Produce technical documentation and support system deployment and configuration.
  • Define and lead Data Governance practices, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
  • Establish data quality metrics and continuous monitoring systems.
  • Implement Data Lineage solutions to ensure end-to-end traceability of data flows.
  • Develop Data Observability capabilities, including real-time pipeline monitoring, anomaly detection, and alerting.
  • Establish and manage a Data Catalogue and metadata management framework.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and personal data protection regulations.
  • Design and implement data access control mechanisms (RBAC / ABAC) and audit access logs.
  • Contribute to the definition and implementation of data security policies, including encryption and secure storage.
  • Define data logging standards to support auditing and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and promote best practices in data governance; deliver trainings and workshops.
  • Actively contribute to AI Governance, with a strong focus on ethics, fairness, and transparency.
  • Ensure compliance with the AI Act and other applicable AI regulations.
  • Actively participate in Data & AI risk management activities.
  • Collaborate with other project teams and participate in cross-functional meetings.

Required Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in IT, including at least 5 years in similar roles.
  • Proven expertise in Data Governance, Data Management, and Data Quality.
  • Strong experience with data quality, data lineage, data catalogue, and metadata management tools.
  • Solid knowledge of data security standards and technologies.
  • Excellent knowledge of GDPR, data protection laws, and AI regulations such as the AI Act.
  • Strong expertise in Data Warehouse architecture and design.
  • Excellent command of SQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL.
  • Very good knowledge of ETL tools.
  • Good knowledge of data modelling tools.
  • Very good knowledge of OLAP and data mining tools.
  • Hands-on experience in data quality, data control, and monitoring techniques.
  • English proficiency at C1 level (spoken and written).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and deliver training sessions.
  • Citizenship of an EU27 country is required.
