Job description

  • Defining reference architectures, standards, and SLAs for data platforms, pipelines, models, and products across regions
  • Shaping end-to-end data platform designs (batch & streaming) that are secure, reliable, and cost-aware
  • Embedding RBAC, data classification, lineage, observability, privacy, and compliance by default
  • Reviewing designs, troubleshooting issues, and running architecture support with regional teams
  • Ensuring data foundations (features, models, serving patterns) support analytics/ML use cases relevant to energy retail (pricing, churn, metering, billing, customer ops)

Requirements

Do you have experience in Terraform?, * CS / IT degree or equivalent and extensive experience in data engineering / architecture for large or multi-team environments

  • Hands-on with modern cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric) on Azure and/or AWS
  • Skilled in orchestration tools: ADF, Airflow, Databricks Workflows, Fabric Pipelines
  • Practical experience with streaming (events, CDC, messaging)
  • CI/CD & IaC for data/ML (GitHub Actions/GitLab/Azure DevOps; Terraform/Bicep/CloudFormation); familiarity with MLOps
  • Strong in enterprise data governance, privacy, and security (RBAC, classification, encryption, policies)
  • Effective communicator (f/m/d) across varying organizational maturity; fluent English skills
  • Willingness to travel internationally approx. 15-20x /year

By linking strategy with execution, our Digitalization Office enables the entire unit to deliver sustainable and impactful digital solutions. You'll work with the Technology Pathfinder for Data to set the direction, guardrails, and reusable patterns that help regional teams deliver trustworthy data and AI - consistently, securely, and at speed across mixed tech stacks (Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric), clouds (Azure, AWS) and BI Tools (Power BI, Tableau etc..), working as well closely with the Technology and Engineering Team.
