Job description
Architect, deploy, and manage Wintel-based infrastructure across on-premises and Azure cloud environments.
Design, configure, and maintain VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and virtualized workloads.
Manage Azure IaaS, including VM provisioning, networking, backup, and monitoring.
Administer and optimize Active Directory (AD), Group Policies, Entra ID, and authentication mechanisms.
Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and system administration using Ansible, PowerShell, Python, and Bash scripting.
Troubleshoot complex Windows Server, VMware, and cloud infrastructure issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
Work on server hardening, patching, and security policies to maintain a compliant environment.
Perform storage provisioning and integration with Pure Storage (basic knowledge required).
Collaborate with networking, security, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless infrastructure integration.
Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering best practices in infrastructure management.
Requirements
What we look for? We are looking for a highly experienced System Engineer with 12-15 years of expertise in VMware, Wintel, Azure IaaS, Active Directory, automation (Ansible, PowerShell, Python, Bash), and basic knowledge of Pure Storage., 16-20 years of experience in Wintel engineering, VMware, and cloud infrastructure.
Extensive experience in Windows Server administration (2016 / 2019 / 2022), Active Directory, and GPO management.
Strong expertise in VMware (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter) and virtualization technologies.
Hands-on experience with Azure IaaS, cloud automation, and migration strategies.
Proficiency in Ansible, PowerShell, Python, and Bash scripting for automation and configuration management.
Basic knowledge of Pure Storage and storage provisioning.
Solid understanding of security best practices, system hardening, and compliance standards.
Excellent troubleshooting skills for resolving complex infrastructure issues.
Strong communication skills and experience in stakeholder management.
Certifications such as VMware VCP, Microsoft Azure Administrator / Architect, or similar are preferred.
Preferred Skills :
Experience in hybrid cloud environments integrating on-premises and Azure solutions.
Familiarity with containerization (Docker / Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
Understanding of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VPN, Load Balancers) in enterprise environments.
ITIL framework knowledge for incident, problem, and change management.
