Job description
Are you looking for an opportunity to develop your systems administration skills in a role that will support your growth and help fulfil your ambition?
Then we have just the opportunity for you!
As our new Systems Engineer, you'll play a key part in making sure our systems continue to work as they should. That means regression testing tools, checking the data flowing in and out, reviewing results and automated emails, and flagging anything that doesn't quite look right. The information these systems produce feeds directly into the pay cycle, so your attention to detail helps make sure things like expense claims are processed accurately and fairly.
This hybrid role offers a fantastic work life balance by predominantly being based from home and only needing to visit our modern and recently refurbished offices in Southampton on a monthly basis.
What you'll be doing:
- Working with customers to resolve various queries around the internal and external payroll related systems.
- Responding to tickets based around systems support or payment coming via those systems.
- Testing systems (including regression testing) across live and test environments.
- Support improvements to our change process by mapping and documenting current and future processes
What you'll bring:
- A background in systems administration, ideally with payroll or ERP systems
- Previous participation in regression testing activities
- Confident and flexible communication skills with the ability to adapt to your audience.
It would be great if you had:
- An IT-related accreditation.
- Experience with VB .NET, object-oriented programming, SQL and/ or HTML.
- Experience with business change processes, MS Visio or process design.
If you are interested in this role but not sure if your skills and experience are exactly what we're looking for, please do apply, we'd love to hear from you!
