Business Area Engineering Seniority Level Mid-Senior level Job Description Cloudera is looking for a Backend Engineer, Tech Lead (Python, Django) to join the Data Visualization team and help drive development of Cloudera's next-generation visual applications product. You will be responsible for designing, building, and delivering an application that accelerates user-driven data analytics from exploration to production. This role requires a customer-focused mindset and close collaboration with engineers, designers, docs, support, and product management. Responsibilities * Be the technology leader and demonstrate ownership of critical platform services * Gather functional requirements, develop technical specifications, and plan project & testing * Design and architect the project * Ensure quality, engineering and operational excellence for the team's deliverables * Design and develop web services with high availability and resiliency * Resolve defects/bugs during system testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patches * Spend roughly 80% hands-on coding * Work cross-functionally with product management, various product lines or business units to drive forward results *
