Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, ICN - DCEO

You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion., The EOT serves as a technical resource, working closely with the Data Center Chief Engineer and collaborating with third-party vendors to maintain seamless facility operations. As a leased site in the ICN Cluster, the EOT plays a crucial role in establishing operational excellence and building foundational processes for this new facility. You will contribute to all facility operations and help set the standard for future leased sites within the cluster.

The EOT supports continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance system reliability, reduce operational costs, and drive innovation in facility management. This includes participating in root-cause analysis, contributing to technical documentation, and implementing best practices from across the AWS global data center network.

• Maintain 24/7 operations coverage with flexible scheduling, including rotating shifts
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
• Operate electrical and mechanical equipment, including Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS), Transformers, Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), Generators, Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC), Exhaust Fans.
• Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment through routine rounds and log-taking (temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.)
• Troubleshoot events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA)
• Manage routine maintenance and emergency services on critical systems
• Maintain high system reliability by prioritizing and resolving trouble tickets efficiently, * Intermediate English communication skills
• Knowledge of mechanical (HVAC, Controls) and electrical systems
• Professional certifications in electrical, mechanical, or fire protection systems
• Valid work authorization in Korea with no restrictions for international travel
