Job description
As a Network Engineer, you will be part of a collaborative Squad responsible for the day-to-day operations of Euroclear's global and complex network infrastructure. You will also contribute to the successful delivery of technical projects.
This role involves managing incidents, alerts, and service requests. You will analyze and troubleshoot issues, validate incoming requests, and implement solutions to ensure network stability and performance. You will also verify and validate each incoming request before implementing them.
You will help set up and maintain the production network infrastructure and support the configuration of network devices for project-related activities. This position requires extensive knowledge of LAN/WAN systems, Software Defined Network (ACI technology) and network security. Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills are essential.
You'll work closely with Squad and Tribe members to quickly diagnose and resolve network issues. The ability to take initiative and guide the team when needed is highly valued., * Configure, support, and maintain network infrastructure (including APIC, Cisco, and Arista routers and switches).
- Implement and maintain Software Defined Networking (Cisco ACI).
- Apply knowledge of additional network technologies (e.g., Infoblox, F5, Palo Alto, Checkpoint) as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of network implementations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues.
- Support infrastructure and business projects by delivering required network components and documentation.
- Perform vulnerability assessments, IOS validation, and upgrades.
- Maintain configuration management and infrastructure monitoring processes.
- Optimize existing network implementations and contribute to automation efforts.
- Participate in on-call rotations and support weekend releases and interventions.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent certifications in network technologies.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency with Cisco ISE, Cisco DNAC, Palo Alto, CheckPoint, F5, Infoblox, etc.
- Strong knowledge of routing and switching technologies (BGP, ISIS, OSPF, VRF, MPLS, GRE, IPSEC, OTV).
- Excellent understanding of TCP/IP protocols, DNS (Infoblox), and QoS.
- Expertise in Cisco ACI.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to evolving environments.
- Fluent in English (French and/or Dutch is a plus)
