Job description
We are offering a rare opportunity to work with a unique, high-value health dataset combining:
- data from the Health Data Hub (HUGO)
- and national health records from the French National Health Data System (SNDS)
This dataset enables in-depth exploration of health care trajectories in patients 80 years and older admitted to intensive care for acute respiratory failure, with a special focus on cardiovascular causes.
Scientific Objectives As part of this project, you will:
- Describe patient care pathways
- Identify predictors of intensive care admission
- Analyze determinants of survival, accounting for:
- prior care received
- autonomy
- chronic treatments
- detailed health trajectories covering pre-, peri- and post-ICU phases
Requirements
- PhD or equivalent degree, with interest in cardiovascular research
- Strong skills in R programming
- Knowledge in AI / data science is a plus (not mandatory)
- Scientific rigor, motivation, and independence in research (Medical or scientific background welcome), PhD or equivalent, Basic skills in biostatistics is expected/recommended (causal inference, prediction, performance...) but you will be mentored by a senior statistician on site and several data-scientists
Speaking French is not mandatory but will facilitate integration. The entire team generally speaks English. Specific Requirements
R studio is the software used for the analysis.
Knowledge in ML/DL is a plus but not mandatory.
