Job description
With us, you will work together with colleagues on innovative European research and innovation projects in the field of data-driven building operation. You apply your expertise in BIM, building services, and control engineering to analyze, assess, and document the performance of integrated building systems.
You develop and calibrate simulation models based on measurement data from test setups and contribute to the design and testing of innovative building management solutions for both residential and non-residential buildings. In addition, you initiate research activities, write project proposals, and supervise junior researchers and students on sub-studies.
You collect and analyze data, write clear research reports, and actively share your insights with stakeholders. The projects are developed in close collaboration with industry, the construction and installation sectors, building owners, and research institutions in Eastern Netherlands and the Euregio. In doing so, you maintain regional, national, and international contacts and strengthen collaboration between Saxion University of Applied Sciences and the business community, ensuring that research results have real impact.
This is where you will work, As a Senior Data Specialist Buildings & Installations at Saxion you will work within the Sustainable Building Technology research group. This team is part of the School of Business, Building and Technology (BBT), where building, technology and management come together.
Requirements

The position provides you with plenty of opportunities to take initiative and develop., * Completed master's degree in Architecture, Renovation, Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Energy and Sustainable Building, or a comparable technical discipline, with a focus on sustainable building systems (façades and installations).
- Experience with research and innovation projects, including performance analyses, simulation models, or building energy management.Ability to initiate research activities, write project proposals, and supervise junior researchers or students.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in Dutch and English, including reporting and sharing research results.
- Enthusiastic team player who collaborates effectively within multidisciplinary teams and with external partners,and has experience in promoting knowledge valorization.
Benefits & conditions
- The following salary scale: scale 11: min € 4,632 / max € 6,677 (cao-hbo) working on a full-time basis.
- 8% holiday allowance and 8.3% year-end bonus.
- You will receive a temporary contract, with the possibility of extension.
