Job description

We are looking for a highly qualified Data Engineer to join our technology and data team. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing large-scale data processing systems to ensure that our data is accessible, reliable, and easily usable for analysis and reporting. You will join an innovative team where your work will be instrumental in driving data-driven decisions across the company., * Develop and maintain advanced, interactive dashboards in Looker, connected to models and data sources in BigQuery.

  • Apply Generative AI (Gen AI) techniques to enrich data analysis, including automated generation of insights, explanations, or summaries.
  • Experiment with tools such as Looker + GenAI integrations, including connectors with Vertex AI, Gemini, or similar technologies.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to design intelligent data solutions focused on user experience.
  • Design and maintain efficient LookML models and data structures.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Terraform?, * Minimum 2 years of experience as a Data Engineer, preferably in cloud environments.

  • Proven experience working with Google Cloud Platform and tools like BigQuery, Dataflow, Data Fusion, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, etc.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python or Java, and experience with data processing frameworks (Apache Beam, Spark).
  • Experience in designing relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Strong experience writing complex SQL queries in BigQuery.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD, Terraform, Jenkins, Kubernetes).
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and in agile environments.Proficiency with Looker (dashboards, LookML modeling, permissions, custom metrics).
  • Practical understanding of Generative AI tools or APIs applied to data analysis (e.g., insight generation, text-from-data generation, conversational agents).
  • Ability to translate business questions into actionable data analysis.

Nice to Have:

  • Google Cloud Platform certifications (Data Engineer, ML Engineer).

  • Experience with data governance and tools like Dataplex.

  • Knowledge of real-time data processing and streaming.

  • Basic knowledge of Python or R for exploratory analysis.

  • Familiarity with tools such as dbt or Dataform.

  • Experience with CI/CD practices in data environments.
