Senior Data Engineer - Hybrid 4 days Onsite / 1 day Remote Location: Madrid About the Company: Join a thriving FinTech firm, known for being one of the fastest-growing international companies in its sector. About the Team: You'll be a key player in the Data Platform team, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable and resilient data solutions. As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll collaborate with stakeholders across the business to understand data needs, drive innovation, and help shape the future of the platform. Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and maintenance of a robust and scalable data platform
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver actionable insights from diverse data sources
  • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to enhance data infrastructure

Requirements

Establish and uphold data governance standards to ensure quality and compliance Technical Skills / Experience Required

  • Strong proficiency in Python for data transformation and validation
  • Expertise in SQL and experience handling large structured and unstructured datasets
  • Solid understanding of data modelling techniques (e.G., dimensional modelling, slowly changing dimensions)
  • Experience with graph database modelling (a plus)
  • Proven experience with data warehousing, data lakes, and cloud platforms (GCP preferred - BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions), experience working with AWS is also acceptable
  • A proactive, curious mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement
