Job description

Capture, a leading Digital Asset Management provider, is seeking a highly skilled Software Tester to ensure adherence to the highest quality standards and lead the company's journey from manual to automated testing processes.

The role is an essential part of the transformation and modernisation of the Capture platform. The successful candidate will find themselves at the heart of a vibrant fast moving product team that is responsible for the design and testing of systems used by many leading brands to manage their digital content. Whilst the immediate and primary focus of this role is QA and software testing, there is also an opportunity for the right candidate to become involved in broader product management activities in the future.

Key Responsibilities

Working under the direction of the Head of Product, your responsibilities will include ensuring that new product features adhere to the highest possible quality measures prior to release.

Initially coordinating and conducting manual tests, the QA Tester will lead Capture's transition to an automated testing workflow.

Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Defining and implementing Capture's manual to automated testing migration strategy.
  • Researching relevant QA testing products, technologies and best practices.
  • Ensuring that Capture maximises quality returns through the efficient use of AI.
  • Reporting key quality metrics and analysis to the Head of Product.
  • Defining and setting quality standards for the wider operations team to follow.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Test automation?, * At least 2 years' experience in a software testing role.

  • Experience of working for a SaaS vendor or extensive experience working with web applications.
  • Experience of setting up and managing automated testing processes.
  • Experience of performing manual software testing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to take direction and work independently with a focus on quality and detail.

Beneficial skills and experience

Capture currently has TestRail and Playwright in its testing workflow, experience with these products are beneficial, but not essential.

Having worked in an Agile scrum-based environment would be beneficial, but not essential as full training will be provided.

Prior knowledge of components of Capture's technology stack would be beneficial, but again, not essential. This includes AWS, Docker, PHP, MySQL and Manticore.
