Job description
The Head of I.T. Operations is responsible for leading and managing the organisation's IT infrastructure, service delivery, and operational strategy. This role ensures the reliability, scalability, and security of IT systems while driving strategic operational projects that support business transformation and growth., Leadership & Strategy
- Define and execute the IT operations roadmap in alignment with business objectives ensuring the IT Assistant and Web Developer work in line with this strategy.
- Lead and develop high-performing teams across the IT infrastructure, IT Support, web development and network operations.
- Champion a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Strategic Project Management
- Lead the planning and execution of strategic IT operational projects, including infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and enterprise system changes/rollouts.
- Collaborate with various company teams, department heads and external IT suppliers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Establish project governance frameworks and reporting mechanisms to track progress and outcomes.
- Manage the Magento Web Developer to ensure web-based projects are executed in line with company strategy
- Report to senior management with project updates and reviews
Infrastructure & Systems Oversight
Manage the IT Assistant and work closely with external IT support to ensure:
- Optimal performance, availability, and scalability of IT systems and services.
- Oversee data operations, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications in collaboration with external IT suppliers.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate service level agreements (SLAs).
Security & Compliance
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity protocols and risk management practices.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
- Take ownership of all Company IT policies, ensuring they are up to date by conducting regular audits and vulnerability assessments.
Service Delivery & Support
- Oversee IT support functions to ensure timely and effective resolution of incidents and requests.
- Monitor service performance and drive improvements in user experience.
- Manage escalation processes and root cause analysis for major incidents.
Budgeting & Procurement
- Develop and manage the IT operations budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Lead procurement of hardware, software, and services in line with strategic goals.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption where beneficial.
- Oversee the management of the IT asset register
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, · An ability to align IT initiatives with the broader business strategy
· Experience in preparing and managing budgets
· Proven ability to lead, motivate and mange IT teams
· Strong analytical skills for making informed and timely decisions
· Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting to internal and external stake holders
· Highly organised and self-motivated, with the ability to plan for short to medium term objectives

· A minimum of two years' experience in an equivalent role
· Bachelor's degree in IT Communications or related field
