Those in financial risk modelling at PwC will focus on developing and implementing models to assess and manage financial risks for clients. Your work will involve analysing data, conducting stress tests, and providing recommendations to mitigate risks.
About the role:
We are the world's largest and most successful deal analytics and modelling team. Sitting at the heart of PwC's +$10bn global deals business, we work with the world's largest investors on their most complex transactions and restructurings.
Our purpose is to support the increasingly sophisticated client demand for advanced data-driven insights to underpin their critical investment decisions.
Your main area of focus will be Deal Analytics which is used by our clients to support almost every critical business decision.
As part of this team you will help design and deliver truly game changing analysis and insights to meet a range of business needs. By working through the deal cycle, you will use value focused data analytics to help businesses prepare for a deal process, work through deal execution and support them after the deal to drive improved business performance.
You will be technically-minded, and driven by solving complex problems, and you get a kick out of explaining how you do it. You'll be working with some excellent analytical brains, but also varying stakeholders for our clients, and for this reason you will know how to explain the technical details to non-technical people.
You will use your commercial and financial skills to understand the drivers of a business, analyse their data and use this to provide clear insights and advice to our clients.
What your days will look like:
- Bringing structure and clarity to complex problems and business scenarios within tight deadlines
- Succinctly summarising the Value creation opportunity (e.g through a driver tree) to senior management
- Leading development of analytics showcasing the drivers and equity story of a business either to management or to bidders to increase deal confidence including appropriate review of the junior teams work and communicate issues to stakeholders

Requirements
- Experience of leading multiple teams and deals projects in high-pressure environments
- Understand commercial drivers of a business and can articulate complex financial or technical concepts to non-finance staff
- Significant experience connecting disparate sources of data, structuring and cleansing it using data manipulation tools (e.g. Alteryx, SQL, Python, Power Query) & in using data visualisation tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, Qlikview)
- Experienced in partnering with high profile clients at multiple levels & in business development, assisting in pitching to clients, developing relationships, etc.
