Job description

Are you ready to play a critical role in ensuring the success of complex HR, Finance, and Payroll system transformations across a dynamic project portfolio?

We have just the opportunity for you!

Our team of Test Analysts work with a range of government clients supporting their change requests on multiple HR and payroll platforms, including Oracle Fusion, Oracle eBusiness, Workday, and others.

They work with various teams within the business to create test plans, executing all necessary testing for change requests, including regression testing of Critical Patch Release (CPR) and quarterly releases.

The team also respond to live incidents on the various platforms that will reported in to the team provide expert support and guidance to colleagues.

This role will be predominantly be based from home with visits to the Newcastle office once a week and the flexibility to attend more often if you desire.

Due to the nature of releases and live support, there is an expectation of unsocial hour working, including weekend acceptance testing. A rota system may be used to distribute out-of-hours work among the team, with the manager responsible for ensuring coverage and sign-off.

What you'll be doing:

  • Demonstrating extensive technical knowledge of Oracle systems, including HR, Payroll, Pensions, iExpenses, CRM, and core functionalities.
  • Regular testing of patches from Oracle Fusion and eBusiness is a core responsibility, ensuring system updates do not disrupt operations.
  • Assisting the delivery teams with systems support and guidance.
  • The team will also be responding to live incidents on the various platforms, taking ownership and working to resolve them ASAP.
  • Working closely with colleagues across service lines to investigate issues, clarify root causes, and implement long-term solutions.
  • Analysing and manipulating data using tools like Excel and Access.

What you'll bring:

  • An extensive background working a testing environment.
  • In depth knowledge, from a testing perspective, of systems such as Oracle e-Business Oracle Fusion, SOP, SAS solutions, Metis, and Workday.
  • Previous experience in test execution including HR and Payroll systems.
  • The ability to investigate live issues and deliver excellent customer service.
