Job description

We are looking for an Infrastructure Test Engineer To provide enhanced specialist testing and comprehensive analytical and coordination skills as part of a small, high preforming team working on mission-critical applications within our Defence and Security sector, delivering secure, scalable, and high-performance solutions.

What you will be doing:

As an Infrastructure Test Engineer, you'll be instrumental in ensuring that the quality and reliability of systems that support national security operations or as part of a development project for both functional and non-functional testing. You will be responsible for validating and verifying infrastructure components, systems, and networks to ensure performance, reliability and security requirements are met.

What you'll bring:

  • Demonstrable experience of working as an Infrastructure Test Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Good technical background
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Client/Server operating systems across both physical and virtual infrastructure.
  • Experience of end-to-end integration testing
  • Ability to work independently

It would be great if you had:

  • Knowledge of Windows 11, Windows Server 2019/2022/2025, VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix
  • Understanding of Security and Compliance standards
  • Understanding of Active Directory, user management, role-based access, OU structure and Group Policy.
  • Appreciation of Networking fundamentals including TCP/IP and DNS
  • PowerShell scripting skills
  • ISTQB Foundation Level certification, or equivalent qualifications.
