Job description

  • Assess the suitability and quality of available data for concrete AI use cases and identify potential value.
  • Build functional prototypes and PoCs (e.g., chatbots, assistants, decision-support tools).
  • Select appropriate tooling (frameworks, model libraries, cloud/container environments) and make it usable for the relevant user groups.
  • Collaborate with specialist departments and IT to estimate effort, cost, and risk of the evaluated AI solutions, and document architecture, interfaces, and data flows for future public tenders.

Requirements

Do you have experience in SQL?, * Degree from a university or university of applied sciences in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computational Science or a related technical field.

  • Several years of hands-on experience with GenAI and ML technologies (LLMs, RAG architectures, modelling & evaluation).
  • Practical experience developing AI or data-science prototypes in Python (e.g., Jupyter, Pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch), and confidence working with APIs and Git.
  • Experience in data preparation (SQL/NoSQL, ETL) and ideally experience with cloud and container environments (e.g., Azure, Docker).
  • Ideally, familiarity with data protection, IT security or compliance requirements in the public sector.
  • Excellent command of at least one official Swiss language
