Senior Software Engineer - Data Platform

Your Team

You will join our Data Platform team, which is responsible for receiving, processing, analysing and exposing the large-scale data generated by Vibe's systems and partners.

This includes data produced by our real-time bidding stack, as well as external data sources. The team also owns how this data is exploited across the company, from the reporting APIs used by the frontend to more advanced use cases such as identity resolution.

The Data Platform team works closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science and ML teams to ensure data is reliable, accessible and usable at scale.

We are technology-agnostic and believe in choosing the right tool for each problem.

Current stack (non-exhaustive):

Your Mission

As a Software Engineer, your mission is to raise the bar of Vibe's data platform, both strategically and operationally.

You will play a key role in shaping the future of our data stack while ensuring it remains robust, scalable, cost-efficient and easy to consume across the company.

This is a high-impact role with strong ownership over data architecture and execution.

What you will do

• Data platform architecture & strategy

• Envision the optimal architecture and operating model for Vibe's data platform
• Actively participate in the design and evolution of the company's data stack
• Make informed trade-offs between scalability, performance, reliability and cost

• Data pipelines & processing

• Design, build and operate batch and streaming data pipelines at scale
• Handle large volumes of data generated by real-time systems
• Ensure data freshness, correctness and availability across use cases

• Data availability & enablement

• Make data easily accessible wherever it is needed across the company
• Work with other teams to understand data usage patterns and define the right solutions
• Choose appropriate technologies and data models to support diverse analytical and product needs

• Quality, reliability & cost control

• Ensure high standards of data quality, monitoring and observability
• Implement controls to manage infrastructure and processing costs
• Continuously improve reliability and operational excellence of the data platform

Do you have experience in Spark?, * Strong and successful experience as a Data Engineer or Software Engineer, with ownership over complex data systems

• Proven ability to design scalable data architectures handling large volumes and complex computations
• Solid knowledge of the big data ecosystem (batch and streaming)
• Comfortable working in a cloud-native environment
• Strong coding standards and attention to code quality
• Perfect fluency in English
• Adtech experience is a plus, but not required
