Job description

troubleshoot, and resolve database performance issues, replication failures, and security vulnerabilities. * Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures. * Manage backup and disaster recovery strategies, including database replication, mirroring, and failover clustering. * Implement database security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards. * Lead cross-functional teams on database migrations, upgrades, and cloud adoption strategies. * Provide technical mentorship to junior database engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team. Qualifications & Experience * 10+ years of experience in database engineering, administration, and performance tuning. * Strong expertise in Oracle (PL/SQL, indexing, partitioning) and Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL, stored procedures, indexing). * Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Server, Azure Managed Instance, and cloud-based database solutions.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in SSRS and SSIS. * Advanced SQL query optimization, execution plan analysis, and performance tuning skills. * Experience with high-availability configurations (Always On, clustering, replication, log shipping). * Knowledge of database security, auditing, and compliance. * Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex database environments. * Strong communication skills and stakeholder collaboration experience. * Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or Oracle Database Administrator Certified Professional are preferred. Preferred Skills * Experience with cloud-native database solutions and database automation. * Familiarity with DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD pipelines for database deployments. * Understanding of NoSQL databases and hybrid cloud environments.
