Senior C#/C++ Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and evolution of software components for photonic measurement and analysis applications. Working closely with R&D teams and product stakeholders, you will drive the translation of customer and product requirements into robust system designs and high-quality implementations that deliver innovative, reliable, and scalable solutions. In this role, you will own critical features and subsystems, influence architectural decisions, and actively mentor other engineers while continuously raising the bar for software quality, compliance, performance, and maintainability across the product platform., * Lead the design and implementation of complex software features and subsystems, owning delivery from technical concept through production and lifecycle support.

• Partner with cross-functional teams and product stakeholders to shape requirements into scalable system designs and well-justified technical solutions.
• Set a high bar for code quality by driving best practices in design, testing, and maintainability, and by proactively reducing technical debt.
• Own resolution of critical and complex issues, providing technical leadership in debugging, performance optimization, and system stability.
• Continuously deepen technical expertise and apply it to improve architecture, performance, and long-term sustainability of the product platform.
• Lead by example in code reviews and technical discussions, mentoring engineers and actively help maintain high engineering standards across the team.

Do you have experience in Scrum?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or related field.

• 6+ years of R&D experience in software product development.
• Expertise in C# and C++ for professional application development.
• Solid understanding of software design principles and OOP.
• Development experience with modern GUI frameworks and MVVM architectures (e.g. WPF, MAUI, or similar)
• Experience in multithreading and performance tuning.
• Experience with modern development practices (version control, CI/CD, testing)
• Work experience Knowledge of software engineering principles.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments, Git, Jira, Confluence.
• Understanding of physical and measurement principles, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a software engineering context.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and tools.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong command of English in written and spoken communication.

Preferred:

• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience using MATLAB for algorithm development and data analysis
• Practical experience using modern C++ and/or C# libraries such as Boost, Eigen, or comparable frameworks.
