Job description
As a Software Engineer, you will independently develop and maintain software components for photonic measurement and analysis applications. Working closely with R&D teams and product stakeholders, you will translate customer and product requirements into robust technical designs and high-quality implementations that deliver innovative, reliable, and scalable solutions. In this role, you will take ownership of features, contribute to design discussions, and continuously improve software quality, performance, and maintainability across the product platform. Key Responsibilities
- Independently design and implement software features and enhancements, taking ownership of medium-complexity components from concept through delivery.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate customer and product requirements into robust technical solutions and design proposals.
- Develop and maintain high-quality, testable code in alignment with established standards, while actively improving code quality and maintainability.
- Lead debugging and issue resolution for complex problems to improve system stability, performance, and user experience.
- Continuously expand technical expertise in relevant technologies and interfaces, applying new knowledge to enhance product capabilities.
- Actively contribute to code reviews and technical discussions, providing constructive feedback and helping to maintain high engineering standards.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Scrum?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of R&D experience in software product development.
- Solid experience in C# and C++ for professional application development.
- Understanding of software design principles and OOP.
- Knowledge of modern GUI frameworks and MVVM architecture (e.g. WPF, MAUI, or similar)
- Experience with modern development practices (version control, CI/CD, testing)
- Knowledge of software engineering principles.
- Understanding of physical and measurement principles, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a software engineering context.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and tools.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong command of English in written and spoken communication.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of multithreading and performance tuning.
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments, Git, Jira, Confluence.
