Job description

We are hiring three Student Assistants (Full Stack Developers) to support the development of Koinon, a central administrative web platform used daily across the Technical University of Munich. The position offers hands-on experience with real production software, structured mentoring, and flexible working hours. Start date: mid-March or early April., Koinon is a central administrative platform used daily across TUM to support academic and administrative processes for Schools, chairs, and central units. As part of the team, you will work on real production software used by thousands of users across the university.

What you will work on

  • Developing and maintaining features in a large, production-grade web application
  • Working across backend and frontend in an established PHP (OOP, MVC) codebase
  • Improving code quality, readability, and maintainability
  • Supporting ongoing refactoring and modernization efforts
  • Collaborating closely with experienced developers and product owners

Requirements

  • Motivated students with an interest in clean and well-structured web development
  • A reliable and detail-oriented working style
  • Willingness to learn and improve continuously
  • Interest in solving real-world problems in a complex institutional environment
  • Previous experience in web development is a plus, but not required
