Job description

The HR Data Migration Specialist is responsible for designing, transforming, and migrating complex HR data from legacy HCM platforms into target HR systems. This role plays a critical part in HR system implementations and transformations, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and compliance throughout the migration lifecycle. The role requires deep hands-on experience migrating data from Workday, Oracle HCM, and SAP SuccessFactors, alongside strong expertise in ETL tooling, HR data architecture, and complex transformation logic., * Lead end-to-end HR data migrations from source systems including Workday, Oracle HCM, and SAP SuccessFactors into target HR platforms

  • Design and execute complex data transformations, mappings, and business rules across multiple HR domains (Core HR, Org Structures, Compensation, Talent, Absence, Payroll interfaces)
  • Build, configure, and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load HR data accurately and efficiently
  • Perform data cleansing, enrichment, and standardisation to align with target data models

HR Data Design & Architecture:

  • Define and validate HR data models, structures, and hierarchies in line with best practice and target system requirements
  • Advise on HR data design decisions, including effective dating, historical data strategies, and country-specific requirements
  • Ensure alignment between HR functional design and technical data structures

Testing, Validation & Cutover:

  • Develop and execute data validation strategies, reconciliation checks, and exception handling
  • Support unit testing, system testing, parallel runs, and cutover activities
  • Identify, analyse, and resolve data defects and inconsistencies
  • Produce migration documentation including mapping specs, transformation logic, and run books

Stakeholder & Delivery Support:

  • Work closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, and Technical teams to understand data requirements
  • Translate HR business rules into technical transformation logic
  • Provide guidance and assurance on data quality, risk, and readiness Support go-live and post-implementation stabilisation activities

Requirements

Do you have experience in Workday?, * Proven experience delivering HR data migrations from Workday, Oracle HCM, and SAP SuccessFactors

  • Strong hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g. Informatica, Talend, Boomi, MuleSoft, Azure Data Factory, or equivalent)
  • Deep understanding of HR data structures and design, including effective dating, organisational hierarchies, and employee lifecycle data
  • Demonstrable experience performing complex data transformations, including cross-object logic and historical data handling
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets
  • Experience supporting multiple migration cycles (mock loads, dress rehearsals, cutover)

Desirable:

  • Experience working on global or multi-country HR implementations
  • Exposure to Payroll, Time & Attendance, or Finance data integrations
  • Experience in data governance, data quality frameworks, or GDPR-compliant data handling Consulting or transformation programme experience
