Application Software Engineer

• Designing and developing modern, robust, and scalable web applications, with a strong focus on back-end development
• Ensuring intuitive front-end interactions in collaboration with the team
• Contributing to the application roadmap, managing feature deployments from testing to post-implementation follow-up
• Integrating and optimizing SQL and NoSQL databases and APIs
• Participating in functional and technical design phases and making technology recommendations
• Performing corrective and evolutionary maintenance on existing applications
• Providing application support and serving as a point of contact for users
• Acting as back-up for the Digital Delivery Manager when required
• Training end-users and producing technical and functional documentation
• Reporting directly to the Head of Business Ecosystems & Reporting

You have 3 to 5 years of experience in software development and feel comfortable working in a role that blends development and support. You are analytical, structured, curious, and hands-on.

Your strengths include:

• Proven experience in back-end development, including strong skills in Java and JavaScript
• Experience with at least one modern front-end framework, such as React, Angular, or Vue
• Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, APIs, and cloud or DevOps environments such as CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Experience in application support, or willingness to take on support responsibilities alongside development
• Awareness of best practices in security, performance, and code quality
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Proficiency in English combined with French OR Dutch
• Curiosity, autonomy, ownership, and a strong drive for continuous learning
