Backend Engineer (Java) - Barcelona

As a Senior Backend Engineer with strong experience in Java and SQL databases, you will be part of a dynamic engineering team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems that support high-traffic, data-driven web applications., * Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.

• Build robust and scalable RESTful APIs to support frontend and third-party integrations.
• Design, optimize, and maintain relational databases, ensuring performance, data integrity, and scalability.
• Collaborate with product, frontend, and other engineering teams to define and deliver new features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of the codebase.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend and performance-related issues.
• Document technical solutions, architecture decisions, and processes when needed.

Do you have experience in Software development?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development.

• Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
• Proven experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Good understanding of software architecture, scalability, and performance.
• Experience working with version control systems such as Git.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and agile methodologies.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Advanced, bilingual, or native level of English.
