BAS operates the world's largest online platform for buying and selling trucks, trailers, and heavy machinery. From our base in Veghel, we support global customers, handling over 14,000 vehicles annually.

Our platform BAS World is live-and now we're entering the next phase. With an ambitious roadmap ahead, we're expanding our team to deliver critical features and backend systems that will help us scale even further. We're investing in logistics tech, automation, and microservices to prepare for rapid growth.

As a senior PHP Developer, you'll play a leading role in one of our scrum teams, taking ownership of technical decisions, mentoring colleagues, and driving code quality and architectural improvement. Your Tasks

• Guiding development of complex backend systems using PHP;
• Design scalable solutions with architecture and design patterns;
• Write clean, well-tested code using SOLID and TDD principles;
• Coach and mentor junior and medior developers;
• Contribute to breaking down the monolith into microservices;
• Ensure the performance, scalability, and security of APIs;
• Promote a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or similar;

• At least 7 years of professional PHP development experience;
• Deep knowledge of frameworks like Laravel or Symfony;
• Strong experience with REST APIs, MySQL, and NoSQL databases;
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks (Vue.js or React is a plus);
• Experience designing CI/CD pipelines and using Docker or Vagrant;
• Familiarity with Git and search engines like Solr or Elasticsearch;
• Available to work at least 3 days a week onsite in Veghel;
• A proactive mindset and natural leadership skills.
