Job description
This role is well suited to an engineer with a solid offshore energy background who enjoys technical problem-solving, working closely with project teams, and gradually taking on increased responsibility as part of a supportive engineering environment., As a Senior Analysis Engineer, you'll be involved in the delivery of high-quality design and analysis work across multiple projects, working closely with Lead Engineers and Project Managers. Your role will include:
- Delivering analysis work in support of projects, tenders, and internal studies
- Supporting offshore mooring design and installation analysis, from early-stage feasibility and concept through to offshore execution
- Preparing analysis deliverables in line with company processes, industry standards, and client requirements
- Reviewing analysis work produced by other engineers and subcontractors, where appropriate
- Supporting project teams by tracking progress against schedules and highlighting technical or delivery risks
- Working collaboratively with Project Managers, Package Engineers, and other disciplines
- Providing technical input to site and offshore teams, responding to engineering queries as required
- Attending site or offshore locations when needed to support operational activities
- Supporting the development and improvement of design and analysis tools, templates, and workflows
- Contributing to technical reviews, workshops, and lessons-learned sessions
Requirements
Do you have experience in Software deployment?, * A degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- 5+ years' relevant industry experience within offshore engineering
- A strong background in offshore mooring design, installation analysis and offshore support
- Good working knowledge of relevant legislation, codes, and standards
- Significant experience using OrcaFlex for the analysis of various offshore activities including towing, mooring installation and hook up (experience with structure deployment, flexible, umbilical, or rigid pipelines is a plus)
- Familiarity with Mathcad for engineering calculations
- Comfortable using standard software such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience using Python for scripting or automation is beneficial
- Offshore experience supporting installation or mooring scopes
- Able to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team
- Clear communication skills and an organised approach to your work
