Senior Network Engineer

Our client, a global leader in the energy sector, is looking to engage an experienced Network Engineer to join their Aberdeen-based team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on global network deployments, hardware refreshes, and technical delivery projects, supporting multiple international sites with cutting-edge network solutions.

In this role, you'll work closely with project teams, IT architects, and support teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable network infrastructure. You'll be a key technical point of contact, providing expertise across LAN, WAN, and firewall technologies, and ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standard.

Responsibilities:

• Build, configure, and deliver network solutions to defined specifications
• Support and manage LAN, WAN, and firewall technologies, including Fortigate, Palo Alto, and Cisco
• Act as a 3rd line escalation point for complex issues and outages
• Collaborate with project teams and IT architects to deliver technical solutions aligned with standards
• Test new hardware and solutions, ensuring functionality and reliability
• Produce clear, standardised technical documentation
• Travel internationally to support deployments and project delivery (approx. 60 days per year)
