You'll work closely with our teams across the supermarket, online and wholesale business to design technology solutions that are smart, scalable, and deliver real value to our colleagues and customers. This is your chance to help us connect the dots between great ideas and working systems, making sure our tech works hard behind the scenes so we can keep serving our communities across the UK.
What you'll do:
- Partner with business and technology teams to design end to end solutions that meet our needs for now and in the future.
- Translate business needs into clear, achievable technical designs.
- Ensure solutions align with our architecture principles, roadmaps and security standards.
- Provide technical leadership through the full delivery lifecycle.
- Help determine and challenge the cost implications of different solutions.
- Stay curious - spotting opportunities to innovate and improve.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Solution architecture?, * Experience in public cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and integration technologies.
- Experience in multi-million user systems, auto-scaling, database sharding, performance monitoring, and resilience patterns.
- Design and development experience in building performant, scalable applications using industry best practices, technology frameworks and tools.
- Experience with design and modelling tools.
Desirable Skills:
- Requirements & data analysis skills.
- Presentation skills to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in project collaboration tools such as JIRA, Atlassian Confluence., You'll be part of a friendly, supportive team who are passionate about technology and its potential to make our business better. We're looking for someone who has:
- Proven experience in solution architecture across complex enterprise environments
- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
- The ability to influence and inspire stakeholders at all levels
- A collaborative approach. You'll work with developers, engineers, and business leaders to get things done
- Understanding of architecture governance and standards
- For this position relevant experience within the retail industry is an advantage
