Proxy Product Owner (data centric)

The Proxy Product Owner at the Data Office blends data product vision with practical project management, playing a key role in developing data-driven solutions in collaboration with product experts and data cells in the business units. Responsibilities include defining product strategy, managing the backlog, and task prioritization in line with customer needs and strategic objectives, while focusing on a clear product roadmap executed via Scrum methodologies. This role involves project leadership, overseeing project delivery, maintaining quality and timelines, and working with cross-functional teams. It requires effective communication, risk management, and coordination with the Program Manager for resource allocation and milestone tracking.

The position is actively involved in executing the data strategy, developing a central data platform, and collaborating with Data Governance Manager, Data Functional Analysts, Data Architects, and the BI development team. Knowledge of Data Privacy and GDPR is essential.

Reporting to the Program Manager Data Office, the Proxy Product Owner aligns product development with organizational goals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality data solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Serve as a Proxy Product Owner, making crucial decisions on analytical solutions and priorities, in close collaboration with the business units.
• Manage the product backlog and establish sprint goals for a feasible delivery plan.
• Work with the Scrum team to align solution development with the product roadmap.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for timely delivery of product features, maintaining high quality.
• Define and communicate project goals and scope clearly to all stakeholders.
• Oversee data-driven projects, focusing on timely, quality delivery within project phases.
• Liaise with the Program Manager for resource planning and project milestone control.
• Provide regular project updates and transparently manage issues and risks.

Do you have experience in Scrum?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Master/bachelor degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, or related field.

• Experience in product management, especially in data and analytics.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum practices and project management; able to lead complex projects.
• Skill in translating business needs into technical requirements and product features.
• Ability to drive solution delivery from start to finish and work with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of presenting to senior management.
• Knowledge of modern data & analytics technologies, including cloud platforms like MS Azure, is a plus.
• Basic understanding of MS SQL Server BI stack and MS Power BI.
• Advanced communication skills, able to interact with senior management.
• High execution and mobilization capabilities.
