Digital transformation is evolving at fast pace with a strong impact on our market, customers expectations, our way of working and our employees. Within CompanionCo we consolidate elite development teams across Europe into a single high-performance digital transformation Task Force. Led by an experienced leadership team, our mission is to accelerate transformation within the existing and future CompanionCo firms, delivering scalable AI and automation products that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and unlock growth opportunities. By combining existing capabilities (and potential capabilities from other existing or future CompanionCo firms) under unified leadership, we combine multilingual, multi-jurisdictional expertise with proven technical capability. Together, these hubs will create repeatable digital solutions that streamline high-volume processes, strengthen compliance, and enable portfolio companies to redeploy talent into higher-value, revenue-generating activities. To increase coordination and the execution power of the Digital Task Force, we are looking for a Digital Transformation Leader at CompanionCo level.
? Main objectives
- · The Digital Transformation Leader ensures, in close collaboration with Digital Task Force, a coordinated digital transformation strategy that enables the group to capture opportunities and mitigate risks from new technologies (e.g., GenAI).
- · Build and optimize digital capabilities- tools, infrastructure, and skills-across CompanionCo to support both central and local initiatives..
- · Strengthen collaboration, maturity, and best-practice sharing across all digital teams in the organization, * · The Digital Transformation Leader plays a connective, enabling role at CompanionCo Group level, working in close partnership with the country firm Digital Transformation leaders, CIOs, and business sponsors in each country firm.
- · This role coordinates, aligns, supports, and accelerates holding level digital initiatives by providing a shared framework, transparency, and a strong platform for collaboration across the group.
- · The role translates the joint CompanionCo's shared digital ambitions into a coherent, prioritised portfolio of initiatives across countries, creating a group-wide digital roadmap that makes interdependencies, synergies, and investment priorities visible. It helps country teams coordinate where initiatives overlap, ensures scarce resources are used effectively, and enables reuse of platforms, data, and capabilities wherever possible.
- · Provide effective governance that supports good decision-making without slowing down innovation. The role establishes common standards for portfolio management, reporting, business cases, risk management, and benefits tracking, allowing country firms to retain ownership while giving leadership a clear, comparable view of progress, value, and exposure.
- · The role acts as the central convenor for cross-border programmes such as data, AI, automation, digital workplace and shared platforms. It facilitates collaboration between country teams, helps resolve dependencies and conflicts, and ensures that good practices, solutions, and lessons learned are shared and reused across the group.
- · Change, adoption, and people impact are core to the role. Working with local change teams and digital champions, it supports communications, training, and readiness activities to ensure that digital solutions are not only delivered but are actually adopted and create value for employees and clients.
- · The role also nurtures innovation across the CompanionCo platform by connecting local innovation initiatives, encouraging experimentation through pilots and proofs-of-concept, and helping successful ideas scale across borders. A strong data and analytics agenda underpins this, with a group-wide framework for data governance, quality, security, and AI that enables country firms to innovate safely and confidently.
- · Finally, the Digital Transformation Leader is a trusted partner to the CompanionCo leadership, providing a clear, honest view of digital progress, risks, opportunities, and emerging priorities. By aligning people, technology, and investment around shared outcomes-while respecting local autonomy-the role helps CompanionCo firms to move faster, learn together, and realise more value from its digital transformation., * · Overall strong CV, with an academic foundation in economics, (IT-) engineering, or a related field, complemented by a successful and progressive career trajectory.
Requirements
- · Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, demonstrating both strong technical IT/Digital capabilities and understanding (incl. newest technologies like agentic AI models) as well as business and strategic thinking, and the ability to combine those to drive digital transformation of businesses in large and fast-growing organizations (ideally in the service sector).
- · Proven experience in multi-entity, international environments, with exposure to complex stakeholder management is an added value. As is prior experience in a Private Equity portfolio company.
- · Pragmatic and hands-on, driven with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels (from IT/Digital developers to business leaders with limited/no IT/Digital expertise)-internally and externally. Brings a down-to-earth attitude and a focus on execution over visibility.
- · Strong experience in change management in particular in a context of a digital transformation
- · Low-ego, and capable of operating effectively in a complex, international environment.
- · Very well structured and organized person who can steer projects and resources with an international exposure
- · Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in additional European languages is a valuable asset.
