Job description

We are seeking a service-focused and proactive IT Support Engineer to join our growing IT function. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, thrives in a busy environment, and is keen to build strong foundations in IT support while developing their technical expertise.

In this role, you will play a key part in delivering day-to-day technical support across the business. You will take ownership of support tickets, troubleshoot a range of IT issues, and work closely with senior team members to support the wider infrastructure, including networking, security, and core systems. You will gain hands-on experience across hardware, software, account management, and operational systems, as well as exposure to projects and infrastructure changes. As the organisation continues to expand, this position provides a clear pathway for growth and ongoing professional development., * Serve as a primary point of contact for employees seeking technical assistance via phone, email, or Helpdesk systems.

  • Support IT colleagues in the delivery of projects and infrastructure-related work.
  • Apply foundational knowledge of LAN, WAN, DNS, and Active Directory administration.
  • Deliver high-quality End User Computing support, including desktop troubleshooting, Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD) management, and software support.
  • Provide technical support for more than 25 UK locations through remote tools or on-site visits when required.
  • Carry out additional IT duties to ensure smooth and efficient departmental operations.
  • Attend depots to support infrastructure installations and upgrades.
  • Configure and deploy hardware including laptops, mobile devices, and tablets (iOS and Android).

Requirements

Do you have experience in iOS?, * Strong diagnostic skills across mobile platforms (iOS and Android) and Windows devices, with the ability to resolve technical issues efficiently.

  • Practical experience with Azure, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently and professionally with colleagues at all seniority levels.
  • A proactive, solutions-driven mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Eagerness for continuous learning and professional development, with a commitment to expanding technical knowledge and qualifications.
  • Ambition to contribute to the development and improvement of IT operations within a growing organisation.
