Job description
You will join the Digital & Technology department, working alongside the Infrastructure & SecOps, Digital Workplace, and Digital Engineering teams. As Digital Workplace Engineer, you report to the Team Lead Digital Workplace., As a Digital Workplace Engineer in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, you provide high-quality global Digital workplace support. You manage the full lifecycle of workplaces, from laptop deployment and stock management to configuring telephony. You are responsible for identity management (AD, Azure) and maintaining network monitoring tools. Additionally, you manage security awareness projects, such as phishing simulations, and oversee facility systems like access control. You ensure the internal knowledge base is updated while transitioning specialized knowledge to the broader team to resolve first and second-line incidents efficiently., * Handles first and second line questions, requests and disruptions

Ensures that malfunctions, complaints or incidents related to the technical infrastructure, applications, telephones, email, VPN connections, video conferencing, printers and workplaces are resolved or escalated within set deadlines

Maintains an up-to-date file with frequently asked questions, problems and solutions

Executes the full lifecycle of workplaces, including laptop deployment, imaging, and configuration

Maintains an up-to-date inventory of laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.

Handles the setup and maintenance of fixed and mobile telephony, including the expansion and build-out of the telephone exchange

Strong hands-on experience with Azure/Entra ID for user and group administration.

Manages and maintains the physical access control systems for office locations worldwide, ensuring secure entry for employees and visitors.

Proactively monitors the network and cloud environment to identify and escalate to the Infrastructure & SecOps team.

Contributes to the creation, development and review of procedures and policies within the Digital & Technology department
Requirements
Do you have experience in VPN?, * An analytical mindset.
- Excellent stakeholder management and the ability to communicate across cultures.
- A "can-do" mentality with a focus on being decisive and taking ownership.
- Empathetic, transparent, and able to work effectively under pressure., * 1-3 years of experience in a comparable role.
- A MBO or HBO degree, preferably in IT.
- Fluent in both Dutch and English.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL processes.
