Job description

About the Role We are looking for a motivated IT Configuration Technician to join our growing configuration team in Rugby. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment preparing IT equipment for customers, ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard and in line with agreed service levels., * Asset tagging customer IT equipment

  • Hardware upgrades on desktops, laptops, and servers
  • Applying customer images to machines
  • Preparing and packaging equipment securely for delivery
  • Removing and disposing of packaging safely
  • Supporting intermediate-level engineers when required
  • Updating and maintaining basic spreadsheets
  • Logging data accurately using internal systems
  • Carrying out general configuration tasks as directed by the leadership team

Requirements

This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in IT, great attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure as part of a team., * Experience in a similar IT or warehouse environment (desirable but not essential)

  • Basic understanding of SLAs and the importance of meeting deadlines
  • Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Familiarity with installing Windows operating systems (desirable)
  • GCSEs in English and Maths preferred
  • Basic warehousing experience is an advantage
