Job description
This is an excellent opportunity to join the GIS function supporting a nationally significant rail infrastructure programme, working within a specialist team focused on land, property and environmental data across a complex, live project environment.
You'll work with a broad range of geospatial datasets, identifying trends, assuring data quality and producing meaningful outputs for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You'll be part of a collaborative and growing GIS team, contributing to business-as-usual analysis while also responding to ad-hoc and time-critical requests, often working closely with contractors and internal delivery teams.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a GIS or geospatial role
- Strong experience with Esri GIS software, particularly ArcGIS Enterprise
- Practical experience using Python and/or FME for data manipulation, automation or QA
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large and complex datasets
- Experience presenting GIS outputs to stakeholders or decision-makers
Desirable experience
- Use of Esri extensions such as Spatial Analyst and Network Analyst
- Experience building web applications or dashboards using Portal for ArcGIS
- Integration of GIS outputs into Power BI or ArcGIS Dashboards
- Background in transport, infrastructure or the public sector
