Job description

The SAP Operations Manager leads day-to-day SAP operational support at TD SYNNEX. This role manages a team of internal staff plus external providers, focusing on operational stability, troubleshooting, and service delivery., * Lead and support a team of SAP operations specialists and external contractors

  • Manage capacity, performance, and daily priorities across multiple operational streams
  • Act as escalation point for operational issues and service disruptions
  • Manage service providers and ensure delivery against SLAs

SAP Operations (Day-to-Day Support)

  • Oversee daily SAP operational support across DEV, QAS, and PRD environments
  • Ensure system stability, availability, and smooth business operations
  • Coordinate incident resolution and recurring issue prevention
  • Monitor KPIs and service quality

Batch Scheduling & Transport Control

  • Oversee batch job scheduling using Redwood (or similar tools)
  • Coordinate and control SAP transport releases across environments
  • Ensure structured change execution in collaboration with development teams

Data Archiving & Process Improvement

  • Coordinate SAP data archiving activities with external providers
  • Ensure compliance with data retention and operational standards
  • Drive operational improvements, automation, and simplification

Stakeholder & Strategy Alignment

  • Work closely with IT Operations leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Communicate operational risks, priorities, and improvements clearly

Requirements

  • Strong people management experience in IT operations
  • Proven background in operational support, troubleshooting, and service delivery
  • Vendor management and stakeholder communication skills
  • Ability to operate autonomously and make pragmatic decisions
  • Fluent English

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to SAP environments (ECC / S4) in an operational context
  • Experience with workload automation tools (Redwood, Control-M, etc.)
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes
  • Experience coordinating transports or archiving activities
