Job description

The Cyber Delivery Specialist is part of the Cyber Operations Team within the Digital, Data and Technology Directorate. Working with the Cyber Operations Manager and project manager, the role is responsible for the delivery of the Cyber Improvement Programme, with a specific focus on Sentinel and Defender optimisation., * Upgrade of Sentinel workspace environment

  • Optimisation of Sentinel instances across the TPR estate
  • Integration between Sentinel and Defender to the current MS best practice
  • Support the Delivery Lead with meeting the requirements of the Cyber Improvement Programme
  • Working with the other IT Operations teams to ensure minimal disruption through effective planning
  • Develop and implement robust cyber security measures to protect systems and data.
  • Monitor and analyse security incidents to mitigate potential risks.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
  • Provide technical guidance on cyber security best practice

Requirements

  • Proven experience in cyber security within the technology sector.
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
  • Ability to demonstrate experience in both BAU and project based engineering
  • Ability to analyse and respond effectively to security incidents.
  • Familiarity with conducting risk assessments and implementing controls.
  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in cyber security or related fields.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
