Job description
The IT Engineer will play a key role in maintaining and supporting IT infrastructure within the Technology & Telecoms industry. This fully remote role requires a proactive and skilled individual to ensure seamless technology operations., * Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain IT systems and applications.
- Monitor system performance and ensure optimal functionality.
- Assist in the implementation of new IT projects and upgrades.
- Ensure data security and compliance with IT standards.
- Document IT processes and maintain accurate records of system configurations.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve complex technical issues.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT systems and tools.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of Windows operating systems, including patching and updates.
- Familiarity with applying security patches and updates for third-party software.
- Basic knowledge of security tools such as Microsoft Defender, Armour Code, and Qualys.
- Ability to follow structured processes and documentation accurately.
Experience:
- Previous experience in IT support, IT operations, or systems administration roles.
- Hands-on experience with patch management in enterprise environments.
- Exposure to risk management and maintaining compliance standards.
- Comfortable working remotely and managing tasks independently.
Tools & Environment:
- Experience working within IT operations teams, ideally in medium to large organisations.
- Understanding of ticketing systems and reporting progress on patching activities
