Job description
Screen Yorkshire supports film, TV and screen-based projects across Yorkshire. They work behind the scenes to help productions happen, support creative talent, and make sure people from different backgrounds can access opportunities in the screen industries. Their work helps fund and deliver:
- training and skills programmes
- work placements and job opportunities
- projects that open doors into film, TV and creative careers
This role is part of the team that helps keep everything organised, recorded and running smoothly, so that projects can be funded properly and their impact can be clearly shown. Who this role is for This role is only open to care leavers only (who have previously struggled with mental and/or physical health) and are now ready to take a supported step into work.
- You do not need experience in Film and TV.
- You do not need to be confident from day one.
- This role is about potential, reliability and willingness to learn, not being the finished article.

- Enter information into spreadsheets and online systems
- Check data is accurate and complete
- Organise files so information and evidence is easy to find
Supporting funding claims
- Help pull together information needed for funder reports
- Work with colleagues to make sure deadlines are met
- Keep track of what information is needed, and by when
Be the "go to" admin person
- Answer basic questions about data or monitoring
- Keep a shared calendar of deadlines
- Take notes in meetings and share actions with the team
16 hours per week to start This is a supported, part-time role designed to build confidence and routine. The aim is to progress to a longer-term role of up to 30 hours per week, where appropriate. Hours will be regular and agreed in advance, with flexibility where needed.
Requirements
- Is organised and reliable
- Is comfortable using computers (email, Excel, online systems)
- Pays attention to detail
- Is happy working with numbers, lists and information
- Can communicate clearly with colleagues
- Is willing to learn and ask questions
Experience with admin, data or office work is helpful - but not essential. Support and training will be provided.
