About the role
As a Senior Test Engineer, you will be responsible for the testing of all IP and Transport system changes. The main function of this role is to upgrade, regression test and support IP equipment in our testbed. You will be conducting testing pre- and post-change to ensure it meets the network, design and customer requirements as well as coordinating with internal and external teams.

Shifts: Monday to Friday (37.5 hours)
Must Haves:

In-depth knowledge of IP Networking on Juniper, Cisco, Fortinet, Arista and F5 equipment IP protocols, LAN, WAN, MAN & SAN networks, MPLS/VPN & IP Security/VPN technologies. With excellent analytical / troubleshooting skills for complex problems, encompassing an in-depth knowledge of the MPLS Network and Juniper IP equipment.

Expert in the use of IP test tools, with an in-depth knowledge of the measures applicable to a mobile operator adhering to the Telecom Security Act.

Able to work independently, receiving minimal guidance and direction, and it may be necessary to manage upgrades which could involve testing outside normal hours, and act as a resource for colleagues directing their work if necessary.

Minimum of Cisco CCNP accredited or equivalent with good knowledge of GSM, GPRS, UMTS and LTE principles.

Skilled in the use of Spirent Test Centre, IXIA and Wireshark or similar IP packet generation and tracing tooling and an understanding of Testing Methodologies

- A daily pay rate of £420.00 a day through Umbrella or £320.00 per day through PAYE.
- This role provides hybrid working access based in Slough (5 days onsite).
